Aryan Khan was born on 13 November 1997 in Mumbai. He grew up in a family active in the Indian film world: his father is actor Shah Rukh Khan and his mother is Gauri Khan, a film producer and interior designer. Aryan has two younger siblings, Suhana and AbRam, and spent his formative years between Mumbai and overseas schooling.

He attended Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai before studying at Sevenoaks School in England in 2016. Aryan later pursued higher education at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinematic Arts and Television Production in 2020.
