Early life and background

Ashutosh Patki was born on 22 December 1987 in Mumbai, where he was raised and continues to be based. He completed his schooling at IES Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya and finished high school at DG Ruparel College of Arts, Commerce, and Science. For higher education he attended Kohinoor College in Mumbai and earned a degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. His father, Ashok Patki, is a music director and composer. Ashutosh is unmarried.

Career

Patki trained in acting at the Anupam Kher Acting Institute in Mumbai after completing his formal studies. He has worked as both an actor and a director in the Marathi entertainment industry and is the proprietor of a production company named Ashutosh Patki Entertainments, launched in 2021.

His on-screen career includes feature films, shorts, music videos and television. In 2014 he played the role of Vishal in the psychological thriller Akalpith. He appeared in two 2018 releases: the lead role in the Marathi film Once More, for which he received a Best Actor award, and a part as Sandeep Mishra in the romantic comedy Sandra Beds Sandeep. In 2020 he portrayed Veer Bhai Kotwal in the biopic Shaheed Bhai Kotwal.

On television, Patki is widely recognised for portraying Soham Prabhakar Kulkarni on the Zee Marathi serial Agabai Sasubai, a part he played from 2019 through 2021. He has also collaborated on short-story projects and digital content: in November 2021 he directed, co-produced and acted in the short story Cool सदरा for the Story Vines YouTube channel, and he appeared in additional Story Vines short stories in 2022. He took part in an episode of Star Thrills Reloaded on the Lokmat Filmy YouTube channel alongside actress Tejashri Pradhan. In 2022 he featured in the Hindi music video Main Tujhe Yaad Karoon released by Sagarika Music.
