Asif Ali was born on 4 February 1986 in Thodupuzha, Idukki, Kerala, India. He completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at Marian College, Kuttikkanam, Kerala. He comes from a Muslim family; his parents are M.P. Shoukath Ali and Molly Ali, and he has a brother named Askar Ali.

Career
Asif Ali began his film career in 2009 with the Malayalam movie Ritu, in which he played the character Sunny Immatty. Over the following years he became known for a range of roles in Malayalam cinema; one of his more widely noted parts was Ajay in the 2015 film Nirnayakam.

In addition to acting, Asif Ali expanded into film production. He launched a production banner called Adam’s World of Imagination and produced several Malayalam titles, including Kohinoor (2015), Kavi Uddheshichathu..? (2016), and Honey Bee 2 (2017).
