Avinash Mukherjee was born on 1 August 1997 in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, into a Bengali family. His parents are Devashish Mukherjee and Kavita Mukherjee. The family later moved to Mumbai when his father took a job there. Avinash attended Somerville School in Greater Noida and later studied at Ryan International School in Kandivali, Mumbai. He went on to attend Thakur College of Science and Commerce in Mumbai. From a young age he enjoyed dancing and playing snooker.

Career

Avinash made his television debut as a child actor at about 11 years of age when he was cast as Jagdish Bhairon Singh (Jagya) in the Colors TV drama Balika Vadhu. The show was a major success and brought him widespread recognition; his performance earned him awards for best child artist at prominent Indian television award shows. Following Balika Vadhu, he continued to work in television, appearing in series including Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, Gumrah, Mann Mein Hai Vishwas, Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki and Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki.

Outside of acting, Avinash is an entrepreneur. He founded a digital marketing company called AMM media. He is also a published author: his book titled "The 4 Golden Ayurvedic Sutras for Healthy Living, Glowing Skin and Losing Weight by Drinking Water" was released on 14 July 2017.
