Ayisha Abdul Basith was born on 29 March 2005 in Thalassery, Kannur. She grew up in a musical household: both her parents supported her early interest in singing, and her mother in particular has been credited by Ayisha as a major influence on her vocal development. From a very young age she showed an affinity for music, beginning to sing in public as a toddler and appearing in videos posted by her family.

Formal musical training began when Ayisha was six, when her parents enrolled her in Hindustani vocal lessons. She committed to four years of that classical training and later expanded her studies to include Western vocal technique; since 2020 she has worked with vocal coach Lavita Lobo to further develop her skills.

Career
