Early life and background

Azlan Shah was born on 18 May and grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. He attended Aga Khan Higher Secondary School in Karachi and later studied economics at the University of Karachi. He is the son of Shabir Shah and Afroz Shah and has an older brother.

Career

Shah began his public career in modelling, appearing in television commercials for brands such as Samsung, Domex, Telenor, Careem and Corn-O. He made on-screen appearances in televised projects and moved into supporting roles in Pakistani cinema. His film work includes appearances in Jalaibee (2015) and Ae Dil Meray Chal Ray (2017). He also had a supporting role in the Urdu film Moor (2015) and appeared in the telefilm Susar Bemuhaar (2015).

In 2018 Shah launched a self-titled YouTube channel where he uploaded TV commercial material and began creating vlogs. His first vlog, uploaded on 16 August 2018, was entitled Azlan Shah Walks – National Stadium to Sea View. He later uploaded videos featuring wild and rescued animals, including a viral vlog filmed with a lion and a widely viewed 2020 video titled Can Hyena be a friend.
