Early life and backgroundBava Chelladurai was born on 22 April 1962 in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. He grew up in that region and attended Danish Mission Higher Secondary School in Tiruvannamalai. Coming from Dalit Christian parents, Chelladurai identifies with atheism and has been associated with Marxist political ideas.
