Bhagyashree Mote was born on 27 September 1994 in Pune, Maharashtra. Raised in a family where her father worked in business and her mother managed the home, she grew up taking part in school co-curricular activities that included dancing, singing and acting. A stage performance in 11th grade marked the moment she decided to pursue acting as a profession.

After finishing her schooling in Pune, she moved to Mumbai to continue her education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mass media from Prahladrai Dalmia Lions College while auditioning for roles in film and television.

Career

Bhagyashree began her on-screen career with the Marathi film Shodhu Kuthe in 2012. She followed that debut with television work, appearing in the Hindi mythological series Devon Ke Dev Mahadev in 2013 and taking on a variety of supporting and lead roles across regional entertainment.

Her early screen appearances included a role as a bar dancer in the Hindi film Mumbai Mirror (2013). In television she portrayed Shurpanakha in the StarPlus drama Siya Ke Ram (2015) and made a cameo in Jodha Akbar the same year. She returned to Marathi television as the lead Devayani Sawant in the serial Devayani on Star Pravah and later played Parvati Devi in the Marathi serial Deva Shree Ganesha (2020) on the same network.

On the Marathi film front, Bhagyashree appeared as Vaijanti in Kaay Re Rascalaa (2017) and as Pushpa Waghmare in Patil (2019). Her other Marathi projects include Vitthal and the 2022 comedy Ek Dam Kadak. In Telugu cinema she featured as Kavya in the horror-comedy Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu (2019). She continued to explore digital platforms with the web series Shree Kamdev Prasanna (2019) in which she played Shivani; the series streamed on Hungama Play and received recognition at the 2020 Video Media Awards and Summit for best vernacular/local language content.
