Bhawana Kishore was born on 28 April 1993 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. She attended Carmel Girls' Inter College in Gorakhpur before moving on to higher education. Kishore completed an undergraduate program in International Business/Trade/Commerce and then earned a Master of Journalism and Mass Communication. She also trained at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication in New Delhi.

Career

Kishore began her media career with a short internship at News Nation in New Delhi during the summer of 2014. In early 2016 she worked as a sub editor at the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations in New Delhi. Later that year she joined iTV Network as an assistant producer and anchor, a role she held until the end of 2018.

In January 2019 Kishore moved to Associated Broadcasting Co. Pvt Ltd (TV9) in New Delhi as a news reporter and stayed there through June 2021. She then joined Zee Media Corporation Limited as a news correspondent in July 2021, covering topics including the Delhi government, the Aam Aadmi Party, social and environmental issues, and women’s rights. In July 2022 she took a senior correspondent role at Network18 Media and Investments Limited, and in December 2022 she began working as a national correspondent for Times Network in New Delhi.
