Bhushan Pradhan was born on 25 November 1986 in Goregaon, Raigad, Maharashtra. Raised in a family with strong ties to education and the arts, his mother worked as a school teacher before turning to painting and creative pursuits. Bhushan completed his schooling at Kamalnayan Bajaj High School in Pune and went on to study at Symbiosis International University and SIMS (Sahyadri Institute of Management Studies) in Pune, earning a BCom and an MBA in Marketing and Advertising.

Career

Pradhan began his acting career on television. One of his earliest credited TV appearances was in the series Ghe Barari (2007) where he played Raj. Over the following years he appeared in several Marathi television shows including Chaar Choughi, Olakh, Kunku and Pinjara. His performance in television brought him recognition and awards at regional industry events.

He transitioned to Marathi cinema with his film debut in Parambi (2011), portraying the character Gangadhar. Through the 2010s he appeared in a string of Marathi films such as Satrangi Re (2012), Kalakar (2013), Mismatch (2014) and the popular Time Pass films (2014 and 2015). His filmography expanded further with a Hindi film credit in Anya (2022), where he played Deepak.

Pradhan has also worked in web series; notable entries include Gondya Aala Re (2019) and Codename (2019), the latter of which streamed on Zee5. Beyond screen work, he has been active in theatre — he was part of a production of Hamlet directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni and produced by Zee Marathi that ran from 2018 to 2020.

In 2021 he took on the historical role of Veer Shivaji in the Zee Marathi television series Jai Bhawani Jai Shivaji, a portrayal that drew popular praise. In 2023 he was attached to several Marathi film projects, including Portrait, Gharat Ganpati, Turiyam and Tavvai.
