Chahat Mani Pandey was born on 1 June 1999 in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. Raised in a middle-class family, she completed her primary schooling in Chandi Chopra village before attending Adarsh School and JBP School in Damoh for her secondary education. She went on to earn a BCA degree. Chahat has said she wanted to be an actress from a young age and pursued formal acting training in Indore prior to moving to Mumbai to launch her career.

Chahat made her television debut in 2016 with the Doordarshan serial Pavitra Bandhan. Over the following years she appeared in a string of Hindi TV shows, including roles in Mere Sai – Shraddha Aur Saburi, Dwarkadheesh, Tenali Rama and RadhaKrishn.
