Raised in the same neighbourhood, she completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Church Park, Anna Salai, Chennai. She went on to graduate in Visual Communications from Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai. Her parents are Tamilarasan and Padmanjali.
