Cheesur (YouTuber) Biography

Nermin Džaferović, known online as Cheesur, was born in 2001 and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is an American national.

Early life and background

Nermin Džaferović, known online as Cheesur, was born in 2001 and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is an American national. Physical details reported about him list his height at approximately 5 feet 10 inches (178 cm) and a weight near 65 kg (143 lbs). He has brown eyes and black hair.

Career

Cheesur began streaming in 2019, building an audience through gaming content and collaborations with better-known creators. He has been active across multiple platforms, including Twitch and Kick, and also maintains channels on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.

Over time he developed a presence in live-stream chat communities as well as in his own streams. In September 2025 he appeared in the chat during a Twitch event hosted by Kai Cenat called Mafiathon 3; moderators permanently banned his account from that chat during the livestream after he typed the name of fellow streamer Adin Ross. Cheesur publicly responded at the time by saying he would not type that name again.

Public profile

Cheesur's online profile has at times intersected with newsworthy events. In 2024 he posted a message targeting Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, widely known as El Mencho, a leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Following that post he briefly disappeared from social media, during which a missing-person flyer circulated online; he later returned and said his identity had been stolen during that period.

In early February 2026 he posted that he intended to pursue a reported U.S. bounty related to information about El Mencho. After a Mexican special-forces operation near Tapalpa, Jalisco on 22 February 2026, officials reported that El Mencho was seriously wounded in a firefight and died while being airlifted for treatment. Authorities described that their operation used intelligence cooperation with United States agencies and that military intelligence had tracked an associate and a romantic partner to locate him.

In the wake of the Mexican operation, social media users widely circulated claims that Cheesur had provided key intelligence because of the timing of his posts about the bounty. Those assertions spread across platforms and Cheesur reacted during a livestream to the reports. However, neither Mexican nor United States officials have named Cheesur or any civilian streamer in official statements, and there is no verified evidence linking him to locating or targeting El Mencho.

Latest updates

As of the most recent reporting in February 2026, Cheesur remains a visible online figure who streams across multiple platforms. His activity and public statements have attracted attention beyond the usual gaming and streaming audience, but official sources have not confirmed involvement by him in government intelligence operations.

Public persona and platforms

Cheesur's audience grew through gaming content and partnerships with larger creators. He uses a mix of streaming services and social platforms, including Twitch, Kick, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. His online interactions and occasional controversial posts have shaped a profile that reaches into broader internet conversations, sometimes prompting moderation actions or intense public speculation.

Personal life

Beyond his birthplace and hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, the available information focuses mainly on his public streaming work and online incidents. Details about family, relationships, or personal matters beyond what has been reported in connection with public events have not been provided in the available material.
