Early life and backgroundChelsi Behura was born on 13 March 2003 in Sikharpur, Cuttack, Odisha. Raised in a middle-class family, she grew up in her hometown and attended Lajpat Rai DAV Public School in Gandarpur, Cuttack. Her mother, Rekha Behura, has been an influence in her life and career; her father, Sudhansu Behura, passed away when Chelsi was very young. She has a sister named Rozline Behura.
Chelsi showed an interest in music from early childhood and began singing at around five years old.
