Early life and background

Chestha Bhagat was born on 3 October 1990 in Delhi and raised there. She completed a course in fashion designing at INIFD, Delhi. Her family includes her father Vipen Kunal, who is identified as a businessman, and her mother Sangeeta Bhagat; she has a younger brother named Karan Bhagat. She follows Hinduism and lists travelling and dancing among her interests.

Chestha began her screen journey in 2009 with television, appearing on the reality series MTV Splitsvilla and making an acting debut the same year on the Imagine TV drama Rehnaa Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein. Over the following decade she worked steadily across TV serials, episodic crime dramas, theatre, web series and film.
