Early life and background

Chintan Rachchh was born on 5 July 1999 in Rajkot, Gujarat. Raised in the same city, he showed an early interest in performance and creative writing. He attended Genius English Medium School in Rajkot and later enrolled at IIIT Karnataka, a college he left in 2018 to pursue acting full time in Mumbai.

From a young age Rachchh gravitated toward theatre. By nine he was already taking part in stage productions, and while in ninth standard he created a play titled Three Friends that was staged at the Rotary Club in Rajkot. During his school years he also competed in writing contests and won the Article Gure Writing Contest in 2018.

Career

Rachchh’s foundation in theatre shaped his approach to acting. Before moving to Mumbai he worked across multiple stage productions and in 2016 collaborated with theatre artist Pratik Gandhi, an experience he described as especially significant for his development.

On screen, Chintan Rachchh made his onscreen debut in 2023 with the web series Class, the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish show Elite. In Class he portrayed the character Faruq Manzoor, a role that required him to develop attributes he did not initially relate to; he has described working on vocal choices, posture and psychological aspects to inhabit the character.
