Early life and background

Dali Benssalah was born on January 8, 1992, in Rennes, France. He is of Algerian descent and grew up with a family involved in business in France. As a child he dreamed of becoming a pilot, but his interests eventually turned toward physical disciplines and the performing arts.

Sport and early training played a big part in his development. He practiced Muay Thai from a young age and reached a professional level before deciding to study acting. He also trained in boxing, aikido, and karate, and plays football recreationally.
