Dalljiet Kaur was born on 15 November 1982 in Ludhiana, Punjab. Raised in a family with a strong military connection—her father is a retired Colonel and two of her sisters serve in the Indian defence forces—she later made Bengaluru her hometown. Known informally as Deepa, a nickname given because she was born on the night of Deepawali, Dalljiet stands about 5 feet 5 inches tall and has black hair and black eyes.
