Darshan Raval was born on 18 October 1994 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Raised in a Gujarati family, he attended Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul in Ahmedabad. His parents are Rajendra Raval, who is a writer, and Rajal Raval, a homemaker. Darshan lists playing guitar and travelling among his hobbies and is known to be an avid dog lover.

Darshan began his public music career in 2014 when he took part in the reality show India’s Raw Star, where he finished as the first runner-up.
