Davinder Grewal, who works professionally as Davy Grewal, hails from Haibowal Kalan in Ludhiana, Punjab. Born on 27 August, he grew up in Ludhiana and completed multiple higher-education degrees: a Bachelor of Arts from S.C.D. Government College, Ludhiana (2007), an LLB from Punjabi University, Patiala (2011), and a Master’s in Social Work from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He is reported to be unmarried and is an Indian national. Physically, he is listed at about 183 cm (6'0") with black hair and black eyes.

Career

Grewal trained and worked as an advocate after completing his law degree. He began practicing in the district courts around 2015 and has served as joint secretary of the District Bar Association in Ludhiana. He has also represented clients in the Punjab and Haryana High Court in Chandigarh. Between 2013 and 2015 he spent nearly two years working as a manager at an orphanage in Kharar, Punjab.

Alongside his legal career, Grewal pursued acting. He joined a theatre group and balanced court work with evening theatre rehearsals and performances, spending roughly six years on stage. His theatre credits include plays such as Malham (2016), Bhramjaal (2018), Ek Bechara Bachpan (2018), and Teri Jaat Kya (2018).

Grewal moved into screen work with appearances in Punjabi music videos and short films. He featured in the music video Graribaaz in 2017 and later acted and directed the Punjabi music video Asal Tath in 2022. He has also appeared in short films including Farz and Cheers.

On the web and streaming front, Grewal appeared in the Punjabi web series Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree Season 2 (2022) on the Troll Punjabi YouTube channel, portraying Vijayraj Singh Chima. In the same year he joined the cast of the Punjabi web series CAT on Netflix, appearing alongside Randeep Hooda.

Grewal made his Bollywood debut in the 2023 film Animal, in which he played Sangram Singh, a cousin of Ranvijay Singh (Ranbir Kapoor). He also runs a film production company called Gairzimewaar Production.
