Deedar Kaur was born and raised in Panipat, Haryana, where she grew up in a middle-class family. Her date of birth is listed as 16 November; her exact year of birth is not provided. Music entered her life early: she received formal training from Ustad Puran Shahkoti and Mathro and began performing spiritual songs from 2004. In addition to vocal training, she is a trained tabla player and has said that performing on stage has been part of her life since childhood.

Her family has musical ties. Her elder sister Asees Kaur and another sister, Prabhjee Kaur, are also musicians. Their brother Gurkirat Singh (known as Gucci Singh) is a musician as well. Following her articleship, she worked as a Management Trainee at Michelin India Tyres Private Limited in Gurgaon from October 2013 to August 2014. In April 2016 she took on the role of Senior Accounts Manager at Bhageria Industries Limited in Mumbai, reflecting a professional background in accounting alongside her music pursuits.

Career

Deedar built her musical profile through devotional and regional releases before moving into mainstream playback singing. Early in her recording career she performed spiritual tracks and, in 2010, collaborated with her sister Asees Kaur on a release credited under the name Bibi Asees Kaur Deedar Kaur (Panipat Wale).

She launched a music album titled Mast Kalandar in 2019 and released a number of singles in the following years. In March 2020 she released Munda London Da under Times Music Hub and in January 2020 she appeared as a guest on The Kapil Sharma Show. Throughout 2021 she released other singles, including Qubool A and Ladeya Na Kar, and collaborated with Punjabi singer Ninja on Ishq Story.

Her transition into Bollywood playback work came in 2022 when she sang Mor Mor for the Hindi film Goodluck Jerry, a song that increased her visibility in the industry. Later releases include Dekhte Dekhte and Rulai Jaana Ae, which were issued in December 2023. In January 2024 she released the single Inna Sona under Zee Music Company.
