Devashree Sanghvi was born on 26 August 1994 in Mumbai, where she also grew up and completed her schooling. She attended Fort Convent School before moving on to Jai Hind College. From an early age she developed an interest in food—learning to cook from her grandmother and creating a personal website at fifteen to share recipes made at home.

Academically she pursued law at the Government Law College, University of Mumbai, earning a Bachelor of Legal Science and Bachelor of Legislative Law. She continued at the University of Mumbai for a Master of Laws, completing postgraduate legal studies in 2019.

In parallel with her legal work, Sanghvi established herself as a food blogger under the name TheCrazyIndianFoodie. Over time she worked with many consumer brands, hospitality groups, hotels, cruise lines and airlines, and expanded her content to include a YouTube channel titled Thecrazyindianfoodie Mumbai where she posts recipes and travel vlogs.
