He pursued medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, earning his MBBS in 1995, and continued specialty training at the Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, obtaining an MD in Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (Pulmonary Medicine) in 2004 and a Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases in 2006.
