Paramjeet Singh Maras, known professionally as Dr Paramjeet Singh, was born on 9 February in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He spent formative years in Maharashtra and later made Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh his hometown. He attended St. Francis De Sales High School and went on to study medicine at Government Medical College Akola.

He pursued further academic qualifications across institutions, including Middlesex University London, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Apollo Hospitals Medversity University. His medical credentials include an MBBS, a diploma in cardiology, postgraduate diplomas in maternal and child health and geriatric medicine, and a fellowship in clinical cardiology. He is a member of the Indian Medical Association and the Medical Council of India.

Career

Dr Paramjeet began his medical career in 2008 by founding MedSMS, a service that offered paid medical consultation by mobile phone; the venture ran until 2010. He has held clinical and consulting roles at several healthcare organizations. Between 2012 and 2013 he worked in cardiology at Moolchand Healthcare. He joined Fortis Hospital in August 2013 and served there as a senior cardiologist through January 2015, overlapping with consultancy and healthcare IT advisory responsibilities at aiqahealth from September 2013 to January 2015.

In January 2014 he worked at Jaypee Hospital in the critical care and emergency department.
