Dulquer Salmaan was born on 28 July 1986 in Kochi, Kerala. He spent his early years in his hometown and attended schools in Kochi and Chennai, studying at Toc-H Public School and later Sishya School. After finishing school he moved to the United States where he completed a Bachelor of Business Management at Purdue University. He later took a three-month acting course at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai before launching his onscreen career.
