Early life and backgroundEaswari Rao was born on 13 June 1973 in Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh, into a Telugu Hindu family. She trained in Kuchipudi dance and grew up in a household with several siblings; the available information notes three brothers and two younger sisters. Her mother is named Prabhavathy Amma. Career
Easwari Rao began acting in films in 1990, debuting in Telugu and Tamil movies that year. Over the following decades she developed a versatile portfolio, appearing in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada productions. She used several stage names earlier in her career, including Janani, Vijayashree and Vyjayanti, before settling on Easwari Rao as her screen identity.
In the 1990s she played notable parts in films such as Rambantu (Telugu, 1996) and Raman Abdullah (Tamil, 1997), winning audience appreciation for her performance as Gowri in the latter.
