Early life and background

Elisha Mayor was born on 25 March 1998 in Ludhiana, Punjab, and raised in Jalandhar. She attended Mayor World School in Jalandhar from 2005 to 2015 and later moved to Delhi in 2015 to pursue higher education. She completed a bachelor's degree in commerce at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, University of Delhi. In addition to her academic studies, she completed a diploma and a Prabhakar degree in Kathak from the University of Allahabad, reflecting a long-standing engagement with classical dance from childhood.

Career

Elisha began her public career in pageants and on television. She won the Miss Jalandhar title in 2017 and was a finalist in the Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva contest the same year. After an initial Miss India audition in 2017 that did not lead to selection, she returned to pageant stages and finished among the top 12 finalists in the Miss Universe India pageant in 2018.

Her on-screen journey includes reality television and scripted projects. In 2018 she took part in the talent-search show India’s Next Superstars as a wild-card entrant. She went on to appear in the television series Sumer Singh Case Files: Girlfriends (2021).

From 2022 her screen work expanded into web series and music videos. That year she portrayed Jahanara Begum in the Zee5 web series Mukhbir – The Story of a Spy and appeared as Sehar in the Netflix series CAT. She was also featured in the music video for the Hindi song Iltija by Shubham J. In 2023 she played Aaloka Baaghchi in the Disney+ Hotstar series Kaala and appeared in the music video for the song Barkha by Sunidhi Chauhan and Arijit Singh.

Alongside acting, Elisha models commercially and appears in devotional music videos for Tilak Epics, frequently cast in the role of a gopi. Her early training in Kathak has been a visible thread throughout her career, and she continues to perform dance on stage.
