Eshanya Maheshwari was born on 17 June 1993 in Mumbai. Raised in the city she continues to call home, she completed her schooling at North Mumbai Welfare Society's High School and pursued higher education at Somaiya Vidyavihar University. She follows Hinduism and lists sketching and painting among her hobbies.

Career

Eshanya’s on-screen career has been concentrated in South Indian cinema, with early film work in Telugu and Tamil language projects. Her credited film debut in Telugu came in 2015 with Raju Gari Gadhi, in which she appeared as Barbie. The following year she made a Tamil film appearance in Peigal Jaakkirathai playing the character Gayathri.

She went on to take leading roles in regional cinema, including the Telugu film Ammayi Nachindi in 2018. In 2019 she appeared in the Tamil film Rocky: The Revenge as the on-screen wife of the character Santosh. That Telugu remake, Namaste Nestama, featured her in 2020. Eshanya has also worked outside feature films: in 2020 she appeared in the Punjabi music video Kalli Range by R Nait, and in 2021 she featured in Punjabi singer Prabh Gill’s music video Mera Good Luck as well as the Hindi song Nahi Jaana by Sachin Sanghvi.
