Fahadh Faasil was born Abdul Hameed Mohammed Fahad Fazil on 8 August 1982 in Alappuzha, Kerala. Raised in a family connected to the film industry, he attended schools in Kerala and at The Lawrence School in Lovedale. Fahadh completed a B.Com at Sanatana Dharma College in Alappuzha and later studied in the United States, where he earned an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Miami. His upbringing and education included time at The Choice School in Tripunithura and SDV English Medium Higher Secondary School in Alappuzha.

Career

Fahadh’s first appearance on film came as a child actor in the 1992 Malayalam movie Pappayude Swantham Appoos. He returned to acting as a lead in Kaiyethum Doorath (2002), a film produced by his father, A.M. Fazil, which did not perform well at the box office. After continuing his studies in the US, he re-emerged onscreen with the anthology film Kerala Cafe (2009) and then appeared in several Malayalam releases in 2010.

The actor’s breakthrough came with Chaappa Kurishu (2011), a film that generated strong public reaction and raised Fahadh’s profile.
