Early life and background

Fahim Fazli was born in Kabul, Afghanistan on May 30, 1966. He grew up during a turbulent period in his country’s history and spent part of his childhood separated from family members during the Soviet invasion. In 1983 his family left Afghanistan for Pakistan, and they later immigrated to Southern California in the United States.
