Fahmaan Khan was born on 4 September 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka, into a middle-class Muslim family. His parents are Shahbaz Rahmath and Faizana Shahbaz. Growing up in Bangalore, he developed an early interest in performance: dance, acting and even cricket featured in his childhood activities. He trained in dance at the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy and joined a local theatre group at 16, where he worked for several years and sharpened his acting skills.

After finishing school Fahmaan moved to Mumbai at 18 with the aim of pursuing a career in acting.
