Fardeen Feroze Khan was born on 8 March 1974 in Mumbai, where he was also raised. He attended Jamnabai Narsee School in the city before going to the United States to study at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, from which he graduated in business management. He later took acting training at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute in Mumbai.

He is the only son of veteran actor, director and producer Feroz Khan and his mother Sundari Khan. Fardeen is part of a large film family that includes paternal uncles Sanjay Khan and Akbar Khan, and cousins such as actor Zayed Khan and designer Farah Khan Ali.

Career

Fardeen Khan made his feature-film debut in 1998 with Prem Aggan, playing the role of Suraj Singh. The performance earned him early recognition: he won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actor and received several other debut-focused accolades that year.
