Faria Abdullah Biography

Faria Abdullah is an Indian actress, model and dancer from Hyderabad who began her screen career after a background in theatre and dance. She has appeared,

Early life and background

Faria Abdullah was born on 28 May 1998 in Kuwait and grew up in Hyderabad. Raised in a Muslim family, she showed an early interest in the performing and visual arts. After secondary school she pursued non-traditional schooling arranged by her mother so she could focus on painting and literature alongside academics. That period included formal painting classes and an ongoing interest in fine arts: she is a painter who has displayed work publicly and even painted the walls of a Hyderabad café in 2018.

She attended Bhavans School Atmakuri and Meridian School in Banjara Hills, and later studied at Loyola Academy Degree PG College in Hyderabad, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication. While at college she met director Nag Ashwin during a cultural event, a connection that would help bridge her transition from theatre to film.

Career

Dance formed a significant part of Faria’s early training. She studied at Shiamak Davar’s dance school in Hyderabad and trained in a range of styles including Kathak, hip hop, house, whacking, belly dance and dancehall. That foundation in movement supported a substantial theatre career in Hyderabad: she worked on more than 50 Telugu-language stage productions and collaborated with groups such as Samahaara Weekend Theatre Workshop, Kissago Theatre and Film Productions, and Nishumbita Ballet And Theatre Group.

Her screen debut came after a college audition. She made a small-screen transition with a role in the Telugu film Jathi Ratnalu (2021), appearing as the character Chitti. In the same year she had a role in Most Eligible Bachelor, playing Meenakshi. In 2022 she took on a lead role as Vasudha Verma in the Telugu film Like, Share & Subscribe. Alongside acting, Faria has pursued modelling and continued to feature her dance and artistic interests in public events.

Public profile

Faria has spoken about the practical training theatre gives performers, recounting how stage work teaches quick problem-solving and presence. She has shared anecdotes from stage performances that reflect that training. Publicly she maintains an interest in directing for the future, saying the ambition to move behind the camera remains a long-term goal.

Personal details that appear in public profiles include her height (reported as 177 cm, or about 5 feet 10 inches), figure measurements and physical characteristics such as black hair and eyes. She has tattoos: the phrase Veni Vidi Vici on her right forearm and a circle tattoo on her ankle. Faria keeps a pet cat named Sebastian and has posted images of him on social media. She has also served as cover subject for Tulip Magazine, a Hyderabad lifestyle magazine, in 2022.

Family and education

Faria’s father, M. J. Abdullah, is described as a businessman and her mother, Kausar Sultana, as a therapist. She has a younger sister named Inaya Abdullah. She was head girl at Bhavans School Atmakuri during her school years. Her educational path emphasized the arts: after Class X her mother facilitated home-schooling so Faria could pursue painting and literature while completing her studies.

Latest updates

In June 2022 Faria organized a music and dance event called Cyperhours in Hyderabad. In recent years she has continued to balance stage experience, film projects and public appearances, and she remains active as a painter and dance practitioner.

Faria has expressed admiration for performers such as Trisha Krishnan, Vijay Deverakonda and Mahadh Fasil, and names belly-dancer Meher Malik among those who inspired her dance journey.
