Early life and background

Gaurav Arora was born on 20 September 1986 in Mungaoli, Madhya Pradesh, and grew up with ties to Indore, which is listed as his hometown. He completed school at Daly College in Indore and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. From an early age he was drawn to acting and modelling, interests he pursued seriously after finishing his formal education.

Career

Arora began his public career as a model. In 2006 he placed as second runner-up in the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest, a competition that helped launch several modelling careers in India. Over the following years he worked with leading Indian designers and walked major fashion weeks including Lakme Fashion Week, India Fashion Week, Indian Couture Week and Amazon India Fashion Week.
