Raised in a family with roots in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, she completed schooling at local institutions including Keshava Reddy Public School and went on to attend Narayana and Rao’s junior colleges. She earned a Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) from Presidency College.

Geetu began her professional life in the corporate sector after finishing her studies in 2016, joining Amazon as a catalog associate and eventually advancing to the role of Senior Catalog Associate. While working there she was introduced to short-form video platforms and began posting lip-sync duets, which marked the start of her presence as a digital creator.

On TikTok she built a significant following before the app was banned in India in June 2020. After the ban she migrated her content to Instagram and developed a sizable audience on that platform. Geetu also launched a YouTube channel called Galatta Geetu Royal where she uploads podcasts, gaming videos, commentary on current affairs, motivational material and other content types.
