Early life and background

Srinu Boddupalli was born on 12 December 1984 in Kalingagudem village near Chinamillipadu in Akividu Mandal, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. He grew up in a family that worked as labourers after migrating from Srikakulam. Much of his childhood was spent on a small farm next to a crop canal, and from an early age he entertained people around him by imitating fellow labourers. He completed his schooling up to class 10 at Siddapuram High School and finished his higher secondary studies at Govt. Jr. College, Dumpagadapa. He is a 12th-pass graduate and holds Indian nationality. His zodiac sign is Sagittarius.

Career

Srinu’s rise came through Telugu television comedy. He gained widespread recognition after joining the sketch-comedy show Jabardasth in 2013, later appearing on its extended version Extra Jabardasth as part of Sudigali Sudheer’s team. On the program he became known for appearing in a variety of costumes and characters, a trait that led to the popular nickname 'Getup Srinu.' His work on the show also earned him the Best Entertainer Award at the 4th Padmamohana TV Awards in 2014.

On the digital front, Srinu appeared in Amrutham Dhvitheeyam (2020) and played Agent Balu in the ZEE5 Telugu comedy-drama Oka Chinna Family Story (2021).
