Girija Oak was born on 27 December 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Raised in a Maharashtrian Hindu family, she later made Mumbai her hometown and pursued higher education there. She completed a degree in Business Management from Thakur College of Science and Commerce and also holds a degree in Biotechnology. Girija grew up around the arts: her father, Girish Oak, is an established figure in Marathi entertainment, and the family environment introduced her to performance from an early age.

Career

Girija began working in advertisements while still in school. Her first commercial came at about age twelve, and she went on to appear in television spots for brands such as Savlon, Horlicks, Dabur Chyawanprash, Vim and Nestle.
