Early life and background
Gongadi V. Trisha was born on 15 December 2005 in Badrachalam, Telangana. Raised in a middle-class household, she is the only child of G. V. Ramireddy and her mother, Madhavi. Her father, a former hockey player who later worked as a gym trainer, introduced her to cricket at a very young age and actively supported her training through childhood.

Her early years included intensive, home-based practice: her father bought her a plastic bat and ball when she was around two and a half, and he accompanied her to the gym from the age of five. To provide a practice surface, her family had a cement pitch built at a local ground in Badrachalam. Later, recognizing the need for improved facilities, the family relocated to Secunderabad so Trisha could access better coaching and opportunities.

Career
Trisha progressed rapidly through age-group cricket. At eight years old she earned a place in Hyderabad’s Under-16 women’s squad, becoming the youngest member of the team. She went on to lead the south zone in runs at the U16 level for two consecutive years.

By age 12 she was already balancing roles across age groups for Hyderabad: batting for the U19 women’s team and bowling for the U23 side. Her first U19 match for Hyderabad was against Tamil Nadu, a game in which she made four dismissals and scored 38 runs.

Her performances at state level opened the door to national age-group selection. Trisha represented India’s U19 women in series against Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and New Zealand. She was named to India’s squad for the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023 and contributed 24 runs in the final against England, helping India secure the title.
