Gurpreet Bedi was born and raised in New Delhi and celebrates her birthday on 24 September. She completed a bachelor's degree in graphic design at the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom before returning to India. Her upbringing in Delhi and formal training in design have informed both her modelling work and her creative choices on screen.

Career

Bedi first came to public attention as one of the top ten finalists in Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2010, where she also received the Himalayan Femina Miss Natural Beauty honour. Following the pageant, she worked extensively as a model, appearing in print campaigns and television commercials for brands including Hyundai i20, Whisper, Sunsilk, Garnier and L'Oréal. Her modelling assignments have led to magazine features and cover appearances in publications such as Grazia, Femina and Raymonds.

She broadened her on-screen profile by hosting the Hockey India League in 2013 and then moving into acting. Her television acting debut came with the serial Laut Aao Trisha in 2015, in which she played the lead role of Suhana. Earlier on-screen credits include multiple roles in the genre series SuperCops vs Supervillains in 2012. Bedi later joined the Ekta Kapoor–produced web series Dil Hi Toh Hai, appearing as Reeva Noon from 2018 and gaining recognition for that role on Sony Entertainment Television.
