Mian Muhammad Hamza Shahbaz was born on 6 September 1974 in Lahore, Pakistan. He grew up in a politically active family and completed his schooling at Aitchison College in Lahore. For higher education he attended Government College University, Lahore and later studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree.
