Early life and background

Haresh Khatri was born on 2 November 1957 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised in the city he still calls home, Khatri attended Saint Theresa's High School in Mumbai before moving on to Jai Hind College. He completed his medical degree at Topiwala National Medical College, earning an MBBS and going on to practice as a paediatrician.

Career

Khatri’s professional life spans medicine, business, modelling and acting. He began his medical practice in 1984 and later explored marketing network ventures in Mumbai and Baroda. In 2000 he founded Optimal Health -N- Weight, a venture focused on lifestyle disease prevention, weight management and anti-ageing counselling using natural supplements and lifestyle interventions. He served as CEO and consultant at the firm, and worked there in various capacities until April 2011.

Alongside his medical and entrepreneurial activities, Khatri took up modelling. His first portfolio photographs were taken in 1984, and over the years he modelled for clothing brands and appeared in television commercials for a number of companies including TATA Mutual Funds, Jeevansaathi.com, Pudin Hara, Manyavar, Amazon, Suthol and ICICI Bank.

As an actor he is known for supporting roles in Hindi films and web series. His film appearances include Haseena Parkar (2017), Hichki (2018) where he played a principal, Gully Boy (2019), State of Siege: Temple Attack (2021) as Mr. Verma, Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021) and Jawan (2023) in which he appeared as Dr. Ashwant. In 2024 he acted in the biographical film Main Atal Hoon.

On the web and streaming front, Khatri has been cast in notable series roles: in 2019 he appeared in The Final Call as a legal head, Hostages as Dr. Hingorani, and The Family Man as a principal.
