Early life and background
Harshita Kejriwal was born in Delhi in 1996 and grew up in the city where she completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, Noida. She comes from a family with a public profile: her father is Arvind Kejriwal and her mother is Sunita Kejriwal. Harshita’s early education set the stage for a technical career path; she earned admission to the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and graduated with a degree in chemical engineering in 2018.

Career
After finishing her degree, Harshita entered the consulting world. From August 2018 until April 2020 she worked as an Associate Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Gurugram. While at university she took part in multiple internships and exchange programs that contributed to her professional development: a summer internship at Imperial College London in 2016, a month at IIM Lucknow in August 2016, an exchange semester at Pohang University of Science and Technology in South Korea from September to December 2016, and a summer internship at ITC Limited in Guntur in 2017.

Her campus leadership and entrepreneurial interests were visible through roles such as team leader at Enactus from April 2017 to May 2018, and recognition through awards and grants. In 2020 Harshita moved from consulting into entrepreneurship by co-founding Basil, a health and fitness venture focused on personalized advice for health and food.
