Hiiya Bajwa was born on 20 November 1997 in Pathankot, Punjab, and grew up in a middle-class family. Her mother is Kulwinder Kaur Bajwa; her father's name has not been publicly listed. She has a younger sister named Arman Bajwa. Her parents separated when she was a child. Hiiya later made Bangalore, Karnataka her hometown.

She adopted the professional name Hiiya after starting her modelling career; she was previously known as Eashita Bajwa. From a young age she was drawn to modelling and took a fashion design course after completing school, but left the program to pursue modelling full time.

Career

Hiiya moved into the industry as a freelance model and began auditioning for print shoots and television advertisements. She has appeared in commercials for brands including Thrissur Golden Jewellers, Peters Coffee Creek Resort, and Medimix. Early on she worked on photo shoots and ad films and broadened her experience into runway work.

She made her on-camera debut at around 16 years old, and her first credited appearance in a Punjabi music video was in 2016 when she featured in "June Da Mahina" by Harman Parhar. She has since been seen in other Punjabi music videos, including "Judaayi" by Harish Verma.
