Himanshi Khurana was born on 27 November 1991 in Kiratpur Sahib, Punjab and grew up in a Punjabi family. Raised in Ludhiana, she completed her schooling at BCM Sr. Secondary School. Her father, Kuldeep Khurana, worked as a government employee, and her mother is Sumeet Khurana. She has two brothers, Hitesh Khurana and Apram Deep.

From an early age Himanshi was drawn to creative pursuits rather than the career her family originally imagined for her.
