Ihana Dhillon was born on 18 August 1995 in Faridkot, Punjab, India. Raised in a middle-class family, she is the daughter of Surinderpal Singh and Baljeet Kaur and has two siblings, a brother named Mangal Dhillon and a sister named Kiran Dhillon. She completed higher education in hotel and tourism management, holding a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management as well as a postgraduate qualification in Hotel Management. Her studies included time at Oxford University, London.

Career

Ihana began her on-screen career after working in the hospitality industry. While employed at the Hotel Crown Plaza in Atlanta, she was offered a modelling assignment in 2009 that set her on a new path. She returned to India in 2010 and made an early television appearance on the TLC show Jewels of Royals.

Transitioning into film, Ihana made her Punjabi film debut in Daddy Cool Munde Fool (2013), playing the character Minki. She continued to build a presence in Punjabi cinema with roles in titles including Tiger (2016), Thug Life (2017) and Blackia (2019). In 2018 she appeared in the Bollywood film Hate Story 4 in the role of Rishma, and she later took a lead role in the 2020 web series Kasak as Sheetal.

Beyond acting, Ihana has modelled for a number of commercial brands and has appeared in advertisements for companies such as Microsoft, Phillips, Samsung, Maruti Suzuki and DLP. She is also an entrepreneur: she founded and operates Art Glam Studio, a Chandigarh-based business offering nail art, tattoo and lash services.
