Ines Tazi was born on 19 August 1996 and grew up in Morocco. She attended Lycée Lyautey in Casablanca from 2007 to 2014. After finishing school she moved to the United Kingdom to study at SOAS University of London, where she completed an intermediate foundation programme and later a bachelor's degree in Development Studies. She also took a Product Management course at General Assembly in New York in 2019.

Tazi has described a longstanding interest in performance. During her school and university years she took part in stage plays and worked as a theatre artist before moving into television. While a student she was also active in extracurricular activities, including serving as a boxing instructor with the SOAS Boxing Society.
