Early life and background

Isha Keskar was born on 11 November 1991 in Pune, Maharashtra. She grew up in Pune and completed her schooling at Sinhagad School before moving on to Symbiosis College, Pune, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Keskar has described herself as an animal lover and enjoys cooking in her spare time.

Career

Keskar’s acting roots trace back to theatre, where she took part in stage plays and college productions. She made her first screen appearance in the Marathi film We Are On! Houn Jau Dya (2013) and followed that with early work in short films, including a 2013 role as Darshana in the drama short Nital.

Her television breakthrough came in 2014 when she was cast as Banu, a depiction of a Hindu goddess, in the Zee Marathi series Jai Malhar. That role significantly raised her profile in the Marathi television industry.

Over the next decade Keskar worked across formats. She appeared in Marathi feature films such as Yala Jeevan Aise Naav (2016), Girlfriend (2019) and Sher Shivraj (2022). On the digital front, she played the lead character Gayatri in the 2018 Zee5 web series Horn Ok Please. In 2023 she took on the lead role of Sarla in the Marathi drama film Sarla Ek Koti, and on television portrayed Kalanidhi “Kala” Khare in the Star Pravah series Laxmichya Paulanni.
