Isha Talwar was born on 22 December 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised in a family with roots in Pakistan, she grew up in Mumbai and completed her higher education at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, graduating with a degree in economics. Dance attracted her from an early age, and she trained at Terence Lewis’s dance school, studying styles that include ballet, jazz, hip-hop and salsa.

Talwar’s on-screen career began as a child artist at about age 13, when she appeared in the Bollywood film Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000). As an adult performer she built a cross-industry résumé, working in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi projects. Her Malayalam debut Thattathin Marayathu gave her significant visibility and led to a series of awards recognizing her debut performance.

She was part of Mirzapur: Season 2 on the streaming scene as well.
