Early life and background

Iyal was born on 31 May 2016 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She grew up in Chennai and attended Chinmaya Vidyalaya there. Her family includes her father, actor Arjunan Nandakumar, and her mother, Gayathri Arjunan, who is a homemaker. Iyal has a twin brother, Ilan, who also works as an actor.

Career

Iyal made her on-screen debut in the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020). Since then she has continued to work in the Tamil film industry and on stage. In 2022 she appeared in the film Mission: Chapter 1 Achcham Enbadhu Illayae and performed in the play Aval Peyar Sakthi. Her stage work for Aval Peyar Sakthi earned her recognition from regional theatre groups.

In 2023 she was cast in Thalapathy 67, released under the title Leo, playing the daughter of the character Parthiban, a role portrayed by actor Vijay. That same year she was also involved with Parachute, a Tamil web series announced in September 2023 for Disney+ Hotstar.
