Jackky Bhagnani was born on 25 December 1984 in Kolkata, West Bengal, and grew up in Mumbai. He completed his schooling in Mumbai at St. Teresa's High School and Welham Boys' School before earning a bachelor’s degree from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. He comes from a Sindhi family; his father is producer Vashu Bhagnani and his mother is Pooja Bhagnani. His sister, Deepshikha Deshmukh, is also a film producer.

Career

Bhagnani began his career in the film industry with early on-screen appearances and production work. He made his Hindi film acting debut in 2009 with Kal Kissne Dekha and later appeared in films such as F.A.L.T.U (2011), Ajab Gazabb Love (2012), Rangrezz (2013), Youngistaan (2014), Welcome 2 Karachi (2015), Mitron (2017) and short film Carbon (2017), the latter of which he also produced. He expanded into Tamil cinema with Mohini (2018) and has been credited as a co-producer on films including Sarbjit (2016) and Jawaani Jaaneman (2020).
